Impact & Public Engagement

The application for the following grants had two purposes, first, I was able to provide preliminary results to some of my research participants with the aim of providing feedback about their work and how it fits within the wider P/CVE field. The second was to encourage local networking between youth workers in Bristol (UK).

Policy Impact grant: £1,000 awarded by University of Bristol for event creation under the continuing theme Creating Dialogue, March (cancelled due to Covid-19)

Public engagement grant: £1,000 awarded by University of Bristol for the creation of the event Creating dialogue in countering violent extremism

ESRC Impact Acceleration Award: £248.16 for early research networking and policy impact

Fieldwork reflectivity

I created a blog in Medium with the purpose of providing some insights into the fieldwork: including some policy suggestions and early reflection about the data being collected.

Furthermore I participated on a panel about fieldwork reflections for other PhD researcher at the University of Bath.

“Challenging Fieldwork: Ethical, Practical and Political Questions”, (2019) Panel: Ethical Challenges, University of Bath, UK
